In my younger teenage years, I used to participate in national Disco Dancing competitions and in later years I did Salsa dancing.

Being part of a set-up for ‘Sports Match’, a government funded opportunity for local community sports and sporting establishments to gain ‘match’ funding for any funds they managed to secure. At the end of the project the team were invited to a drinks reception at Buckingham Palace and I was personally thanked by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh – sadly the Queen was out that day!
