I once accidentally broke into the French parliament building – honestly, I have no idea how. Luckily my French skills are so bad the very confused security guard just quickly escorted me back out again.

The Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice by Carlo Scarpa – One of the first times a high-flying Architect chose to see the value in a historic building and celebrate it rather than flatten it and start again (much to the surprise of his client). It is a very good representation of the phrase we Architects love ‘the juxtaposition of old and new’.
My architectural journey started in 2010 and I have been with MELLP since August 2021.
I’m not sure that Architects every really retire, but one day I would like to kit out a Mexican food truck, drive it round to sunny locations, sell great food, and drink plenty of tequila.
