• Tell us something about you that not many people know?

  My ultimate goal is to design and build my own house to retire in, somewhere sunny and by the sea!

• Where and what did you study to get yourself to where you are today?

  In June 2020, I completed my part 1 degree in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University. From September 2022, I will commence my studies for my RIBA part 2 MArch degree at Portsmouth University, this will be part-time whilst simultaneously working at Mitchell Evans.

• Where have you worked previously?

  Previously, I worked at BBF Fielding Architects a small-medium sized firm based in Woking, for 18 months.

• What is the most interesting / exciting / unusual project you have worked on to date?

  My most exciting experience project so far was my final year design project of my part 1 degree. For this project, I designed a honeymoon resort called the ‘Love Playground Resort’ located at the needles, Isle of Wight. The resort aimed to encourage play between the couples, including a game of hide and seek to discover marine wildlife.

• What is your favourite building? (It can be anywhere in the universe!)

  My favourite building has got to be the Walt Disney Concert Hall, (Los Angeles, California). It was designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 2003. I have not been lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit it in person, but hope to one day!

• How long have you been working in this industry / how long have you worked at MELLP?

  I started working in the Architecture industry in August 2020 and have been working at Mitchell Evans since March 2022.

• What do you want to be when you grow up / what did the ‘6 year old’ you want to be when you grew up?

  I’m pretty sure that six year old Rhiannon wanted to be a hairdresser! However in secondary school, I decided that I wanted to work in the Architectural field.
