When I was 18 I climbed Mt Fuji, at night with nothing but a small torch, a packet of Pringles and a bottle of water. 5 hours in, we realised we hadn’t quite thought this through and had to hijack another group of climbers and ask them to share their food, water and torch light. We got to the top eventually, just in time to see the sun rise and buy the most expensive cup of coffee on this planet (yes they have a small coffee hut at the top of the mountain)
Newcastle University where I studied English Literature, Ancient History and Archaeology. Not sure how it helped me to get where I am today but it was a lot of fun!
I have worked in HR for over 18 years, mainly in the marketing sector.
For me it has to be the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople (modern day Istanbul). Or the Pantheon (I love an impressive dome!). I studied Ancient Architecture for years and the old classics will always be the best in my eyes.
