Mitchell Evans were approached to provide our expertise in the design and implementation of a new build property for a disabled girl with very specific requirements.

In conjunction with the specialist medical consultants and the client’s family, an accommodation brief and detailed designs were developed and planning permission was achieved. Technical drawings and specifications were produced, and Mitchell Evans undertook the contract administration through to the completion of the project. The building works were undertaken by Blue Wave Construction who are disability specialists and the project budgeting was carefully controlled and monitored during the project for the solicitors.

The accommodation for the family has been arranged on a single story to the ground floor and provides specialist en-suite, therapy and spa facilities, integrated into traditional kitchen and living spaces in order to provide a cohesive family environment. Accommodation for the live-in carers is provided at first floor with an internal connection to the family spaces, but with a separate entrance to retain the separation and privacy when required.
