The Georgian style home was organised over three floors with a basement that linked the house to the detached garage via a sunken two lane bowling alley.

Following the granting of planning permission obtained by the client’s previous architect, Mitchell Evans were instructed to produce a detailed construction drawing package utilising a number of new construction practices pioneered in Belgium for insitu/precast concrete floors, calcium silicate blockwork with sprayed plaster finish and pre-insulated ‘SIPS’ roofing panels.  As a result of using these new construction methods, it was possible to construct the 12,000 square foot home in around 12 months at a cost comparable to normal construction methods.

The home also benefited from an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and an ornamental garden overlooking the 20 acre plot.
