Planning approval had been achieved prior to the appointment of Mitchell Evans, however, a redesign of the property was required by our client in order to cater for their disabled young son and the rest of the family.
These facilities are integrated into the traditional family living spaces in order to provide a cohesive family environment, whilst level thresholds throughout provide access into the garden. Specialist audio and visual technology was installed to provide additional assistance for the young son. Our role included the close liaison with the health professionals and occupational therapists throughout the technical design stage to ensure the specialist equipment and access requirements were met. All works were overseen by the client’s clinical negligence solicitor to ensure that budgets were met and that the facilities fully delivered a long term solution for the family’s housing needs.
