In conjunction with the specialist medical consultants and the client’s family, an accommodation brief was created, detailed designs were developed and planning permission was achieved.

The existing property was re-organised and with the provision of a new single story extension, the required space was created for a new bedroom, en-suite with specialist showering equipment, therapy room and living room for the girl. A bedroom and en-suite was created for the live-in carer with a separate entrance into the property, but with a link into the girls’ living room. This link is kept separate to the main family living areas to retain the independence of the family from the carers. The new bedroom on the rear of the property is linked to the new rear garden terraces and outdoor covered therapy spa.

A new ramp has been provided to the front of the property to address the level changes between the driveway and entrance into the property. The existing living room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms have also been extensively refurbished as part of the overall project.
