The project brief was to provide full wheelchair accessible spaces on the ground floor for a new bedroom and ensuite bathroom, thereby making the son’s daily routines much easier.

Our client’s property comprised a traditional 2 storey family house with 4 bedrooms on the first floor. However, due to the son’s disabilities it had become increasingly unsuitable. New extensions were added to the rear the property to create the new bedroom and ensuite which connects to the exiting family rooms and gardens creating an inclusive environment. Specialist bathing facilities and ceiling hoists were installed as part of the project.
