Mitchell Evans was brought on board following a stalled planning application, we were appointed to drive the project forward to construction.

Our overall brief was to renovate the existing 1930s Arts and Crafts style Surrey vernacular property in central Guildford which has outstanding southerly views over The Chantries and beyond.

Our role was to improve the overall layout of the property, improve the architectural aesthetics of both the front and rear elevations and open up the living space to provide an enlarged kitchen breakfast family room with orangery overlooking the newly landscaped gardens.

In addition, the loft space was altered and converted into further bedroom and bathroom accommodation with dormer windows to both the front and rear elevations.

As part of the renovation works this included full upgrading of the existing plumbing, heating and electrical systems including power and lighting, replacement of the original leaded pane windows and then full refurbishment of décor, fixtures and fittings, including joinery, bathrooms, fitted furniture and both kitchen and utility units.

The end result is a beautiful, elegant family home which fully takes account of the extensive views to the south and will provide a timeless home for our clients for many years to come.
